so my latest obsession is retro styles. retro is mainly from the 8Os, but they also have a lot of 7Os styles, too. retro is a lot about accessories, color & flair. one of my favorite accessories are sunglasses. i especially like the ones in these:
those big & colorful ones are awesome. you can get some like that at places like hot topic or forever 21. wayfarers & aviator sunglasses are also very cool. wayfarers come in amazing colors, sometimes multiple on one pair of glasses! as for aviators, i especially love those ones with the metallic shiny lense.retro is all about going "way out" as my mom says. try something new! don't be afraid of sticking out. bright colors that clash & mix (at the same time!) are perfect. things like turquoise & orange. today i wore an orange headband, a turquoise v-neck tee, a turquoise-green cardigan, an orange skirt, turquoise tights, & white x-hi converse. a brighter combination is deep, bright pink with yellow &/or orange. remember that white goes with everything (making it seem lighter) & so does black (making it seem darker).
